Our Biewers and their future off spring are registered in the USA in the Biewer Breed International Registry
(BBIR). The BBIR tracks the history of the Biewer and is doing all necessary preparation for a hopeful future
acceptance in the American Kennel Club/ Foundation Stock Service (AKC/FSS).

breeding Biewer to Biewer... why go backwards? We do not believe in mixing with the Yorkshire Terrier or
any other breed for that matter. No designer dogs here!!! Purebred Biewers only... we do not have mixed
breeds and do not own Biewer Terriers!!!
Almost Heaven Biewers aspires to keep to the original standard that Mr. and Mrs. Werner Biewer wrote when
they started the wonderful Biewer breed in Germany over 20 years ago. Even though a particular US club
deemed it necessary to change the standard to include 2 colored heads, thus accommodating more dogs, the
BBCA and other reputable Biewer Clubs refuse to acknowledge that standard and will not show under it in
any venue. The original standard was written for a reason. We believe in perfection. If we have a pup that
has a two colored head it will be registered as a pet. Pups who do not meet the standard will be wonderful
dogs and exceptional pets however, they will not be show quality!
We are completely dedicated to this breed and we do all proper health testing to ensure that every Biewer pup
will be healthy and sound. Along with health, proper socialization for a wonderful gentle temperament is also
very important to us. Above all else we want only the very best for the Biewer here in the USA.
The subject of Biewers is one of great divide between different breeders and clubs. There are differing theories
on Biewer breeding, the standard and what is right for the Biewer here in North America. This is the reason
there are so many Biewer Clubs here.
Is the Biewer a Yorkie of a different color?
Should we try for AKC recognition or should we not?
Is it acceptable to mix Yorkies with Biewers?
